White Out Lighthouse

This card is for today's limited supplies challenge on SCS! Wow, this was a tough one, it had a lot of rules and I followed them all. Yipee! I'm so proud of myself. A lot of people cheated on this one I noticed but they really did created beautiful cards by cheating. Anyway I used my old time fave set Lighthouse and the card is very self explanatory. Color of cardstock used is Basic Black, White and Very Vanilla. Black ink, white metal dots and black gingham ribbon. That's all folks! He,he.

SC194 Alaska

This one was for todays sketch challenge on SCS! Images from my LSS and the SU! sets Pines and Creative Corners. Also used a weathered stamp from Mike's for the panel that is dry embossed, you can't really tell from the picture but is there. I used my mesh EF with my Cuttlebug. Bear is embossed with chocolate brown embossing powder. All the edges are distressed and sponged. Colors of ink used: Creamy caramel, Chocolate Chip, Versamark and Always Artichoke. Paper: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Misc brown, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa. This sketch was a lot of fun.

Christmas cards for swap

For one of the swaps I'm in. Pictures are not that great.

CC183 Riding Hood Red, Green Galore, Going Gray

This was my first card for this color challenge. This card started with the feather. I woke up this morning to find this feather that Soleil left on the floor. Since the feather is red I worked around incorporating it to the card. I think is something new and depends on taste. I like it. Better than my second card at least. After I was done I thought I should have punched out a little red circle for the middle of the flower. Too late. Oh well!

CC183

This was my second attempt at this color challenge. I really could not put it together. This card is so plain. I like the color combo but couldn't figure out how to make it work into a nice and pretty card. Whatever!!!

Swaps

So I didn't get to play today on the SCS challenge because I didn't have all the materials. Sad! But at least I got some catching up on my swap cards. I just sign up for 2 Christmas swaps on SCS, I,m very exited.  I will post a picture of the cards I'm working on for the swaps tomorrow.

Coffee break!

So today after I made the cards for the Splitcoaststampers challenge I was really craving some coffee. Weird! I haven't had any coffee in months. About 3pm my husband who came home early from work says he wanted some coffee. Now that is weird. He NEVER drinks coffee, I think last time was about a year and a half ago. So we had some really great cappuccinos <- don't really know if that's how you spell it, with whipped cream, cinnamon and caramel on top. Absolutely delicious! We sat at the table, no kids, just us and our great view of the snowy mountain tops. We also had some french bread with butter. It was very relaxing.

LSC184 Like it a Latte

This was the first card I made for the challenge on SCS. I really think something is missing but all the comments from the nice ladies at Splitcoastampers say to leave it the way it is. I used Pumpkin Pie as my orange because I don't think Only orange looks good with Chocolate Chip, but that's just my opinion. I embossed the stream with white embossing powder and added plumeria drew drops that to me look like honey. I really like making 2 cards for the challenges I like on SCS even though I have a mayor MESS in my stamping room. I will post some pictures of my room as soon as I get it organized again.

LSC184 Orange Roasters

This was my second card I made for this challenge. To use orange and a coffee stamp or theme. This card started with a brad. Here is the story: I made my first card last night for this challenge because it was posted early so because I'm in Alaska it was around 8:30 pm for me. Anyway the card I made last night I could not figure out what was missing from it so I decided to finally open my build a brad kit that I bought since it first came out but have never used. I actually struggle to put the brad together as it does not come with instructions and I don't know why but it just was coming apart as I try to put the image in. Anyway after I was done with the first card I decided not to use the brad so it was left over. I was not going to waste it so I made this card and incorporate it. I think it came out pretty good. The stamp was an incentive from SU! that I got about 3 years ago and had never inked. I got the sketch from the gallery but flipped it. I like that I can use this card for any occasion.

WT182 Specialty Paper Flowers

This was the first card I did for the challenge. I didn't like how it turned out. I used my new border punch from Fiskars. I got this paper about a year and a half ago at my LSS and this is my first time cutting it.  This ribbon I also had forever. Enjoy!

WT182 Specialty Paper

I have been hoarding this paper and I don't know why. I guess it's because is shiny. I got this 2 stamps at Mike's this past Sunday from the $1 bin. Don't you just love the $1 bin? I know I do. I embossed the sign with clear embossing powder after I stamp it with white craft ink. It is also on dimensionals. The moon I colored with my watercolor pencils from SU! and then used a blender pen. The ribbon is also hoarded because is soooo pretty. I hope you like it!

SC192

This one was for the sketch challenge on SCS! I just love this challenges, every day is a new challenge. I just got me this stamp at Michael's on Sunday and it was just perfect for the sketch. Fluffles is flocked with caramel latte tan fun flock. There is also glitter on the ornaments. The bottom panel is an old DP from an old SU! Simply scappin' kit. The ribbon I've had for ages. I really like how this card turned out. I think Fluffles is so cute.

TLC184 Black Magic

This was for yesterdays try a new technique on SCS called Black Magic. This is done with prismacolor pencils and OMS or Odorless Mineral Spirits. I finally got to go shopping on Michaels' which is 4 1/2 hours from home and got me some stuff I need it to be able to keep on doing this wonderful techniques on SCS. I embossed the sentiment and it looks very bright but is only on the picture.

Butterfly card

This was for todays color challenge on SCS using pinks. I used the new Pink Pirouette from SU!, Pretty in Pink and a DP from the Luxury Stack. I also got to use my new punches from MS. I love them. The main image is a stamp from M's that I got a long time ago for $1. I embossed it with iridescent ice EP from SU!  Brads, stickles on the butterflies and some ribbon to finish it.
